We are seeking an experienced and motivated Farm Manager to oversee the daily operations of a well established game farm near Bridgwater, specialising in the breeding, hatching and rearing of pheasants. This is a key leadership role, responsible for ensuring high standards of bird health, welfare and biosecurity, while managing staff and maintaining smooth day to day farm operations. The ideal candidate will have strong management and organisational skills, with hands on experience in the game sector or poultry production at a senior level.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the full breeding, hatching and rearing process of pheasants
- Manage day to day farm operations, including feed, welfare and stock records
- Supervise and support farm staff, handling recruitment, rotas, and general HR duties
- Ensure compliance with all biosecurity, welfare, and environmental regulations
- Maintain accurate production, health, and performance records
- Liaise with suppliers, vets, and customers to ensure smooth business operations
- Monitor and maintain all equipment, plant, and facilities
- Report to senior management with regular updates on performance and productivity
The Candidate
- Proven experience in game farming or poultry management at a senior or supervisory level
- Strong understanding of breeding, incubation, and rearing systems
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Practical, proactive, and highly organised

- Full UK driving licence and willingness to live on or near the farm
