An opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Greenkeeper to join a professional grounds team at a well-established sports and leisure facility in South West London. The successful candidate will play a key role in the day-to-day maintenance and presentation of the golf course, ensuring high-quality playing surfaces are maintained throughout the year. Working closely with the Head Greenkeeper and wider team, this is a hands-on position suited to someone with a strong work ethic and a passion for turf management.

Candidate Requirements

  • Previous experience in greenkeeping, sports turf management or similar grounds maintenance environment with a solid understanding of turf care practices.
  • PA1 & PA6 Sprayer Certificates (or equivalent) and chainsaw qualification preferred.
  • Experience operating greenkeeping machinery and strong awareness of health and safety procedures.
  • Full UK driving licence preferred.
  • Experience with irrigation systems, turf disease identification or golf course maintenance advantageous.
  • Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Sports Turf, Greenkeeping or Horticulture advantageous.
  • First Aid qualification beneficial.
  • Reliable, hardworking and punctual with strong attention to detail.
  • Positive attitude with willingness to learn and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Hold a minimum of an NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) qualification relevant to the role applied for.
  • Legal right to work in the UK or hold a valid visa permitting employment.
