The Job :

Head of Growing – Soft Fruit, based in Leominster. The successful candidate will take ownership of crop production, leading a growing team to deliver high-quality, high-yielding strawberry crops that meet leading supermarket standards.

Responsibilities include overseeing the full growing cycle from plant delivery through to harvest, managing crop plans, developing team performance, implementing biological crop protection programmes, and ensuring compliance with company and statutory requirements.

The Candidate :

• Proven experience in protected soft fruit growing, with strong operational and commercial focus
• Highly organised, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple production areas
• Experienced leader with excellent communication and people management skills
• Capable of building positive, productive cross-departmental relationships
• FACTS and BASIS certifications -PA1, PA2, PA6a, and PA6b

The Package :

• Salary £55,000 – £36,000 DOE
• Permanent, full-time role with leadership responsibilities
