The Job
An opportunity has arisen for a commercially driven Junior Sales Manager to join a successful agricultural business covering the Cambridge, Peterborough and South Lincolnshire region. This role would suit an experienced agricultural salesperson, someone from a farming background or an ambitious commercial professional looking to build a long term career within the agricultural sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop new business opportunities while growing and maintaining a strong customer base
- Build trusted, long-term relationships with farmers and agricultural businesses across the region
- Promote crop marketing services and provide practical commercial advice to customers
- Identify opportunities to increase business growth and strengthen customer relationships
- Provide market insight to support farmers in making informed commercial decisions
- Represent the business professionally while promoting its values and services
- Work collaboratively with internal teams to deliver excellent customer outcomes

The Candidate
- Previous experience within agricultural sales, grain trading, agronomy, farm advisory, machinery, fertiliser, or a similar commercial role would be advantageous
- Strong understanding of farming businesses with the confidence to build relationships and communicate effectively with farmers
- Natural salesperson with the drive and ambition to identify opportunities and develop new business
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and commercial skills with the ability to work independently
- Organised, self‑motivated, and comfortable managing your own territory and workload
- Agricultural knowledge or practical farming experience would be beneficial, although applications are welcomed from candidates with the right attitude and ambition
