An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Service Technician to join a leading supplier of specialist equipment within the forestry sector.
This role is ideal for a skilled engineer looking to work with advanced machinery, providing both workshop and on site maintenance and repair services.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out maintenance, servicing and repair of specialist forestry equipment in both workshop and field environments
- Diagnose and resolve hydraulic, electrical and mechanical faults
- Travel extensively to customer sites, with occasional overnight stays required
- Deliver excellent customer service and maintain strong working relationships
- Complete relevant service documentation and use IT systems to support daily activities
- Candidate
- A completed apprenticeship, National Diploma, or equivalent qualification in forestry, agricultural, construction, or a related engineering discipline or significant relevant engineering experience
- Strong knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems
- A full UK driving licence
- Good IT skills
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- A flexible approach to work and travel
- Ability to learn new technologies quickly
- Strong problem solving and fault-finding skills
- Experience working with forestry, agricultural or construction machinery
- Knowledge of the forestry industry would be advantageous but is not essential
