A well established family run cut flower business in South Lincolnshire is looking to recruit a Skilled Horticultural Operative to support its expanding production team. This is a varied, hands-on role working across both protected and outdoor flower production, with responsibility for planting operations, crop management, equipment operation and team leadership. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining production efficiency and ensuring high quality standards are achieved throughout the growing and harvesting process. This position offers the opportunity to join a progressive business with ongoing training and career development opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Operating a robotic tulip planting line and manual lily planting line
- Supporting cut flower production from planting through to harvest
- Leading and coordinating a small production team
- Working across both glasshouse and outdoor growing operations
- Monitoring quality standards and production targets
- Carrying out basic maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment
- Supporting general crop husbandry and seasonal production activities
Candidate Requirements
- Previous experience within horticulture, ornamental crop production or agriculture
- Experience operating planting machinery and production equipment
- Ability to lead and support a small team
- Good understanding of basic engineering and equipment maintenance
- Strong focus on quality, attention to detail and productivity
- Good written and spoken English
- Valid Counterbalance Forklift Truck licence
- PA1 and PA6 spray certificates
- Experience operating compact tractors
- Full UK driving licence
Package
- Starting pay from £13.80 per hour
- Overtime paid at £17.25 per hour
- Performance related bonus scheme
- Minimum 39-hour working week
- Overtime paid after 8 hours worked per day
- Weekend and Bank Holiday working paid at the overtime rate

Requirements
