Factory Operative – Bury St. Edmunds – £34,937.60 + Excellent Benefits

The Job:

We are currently recruiting for a Factory Operative to join our mill shift production team in Bury St. Edmunds. This is a hands-on role working across all production disciplines to ensure efficient and high-quality manufacturing output. As a fully trained Factory Operative, you will operate pressing and blending equipment, complete routine production tasks, and perform first-level fault finding and rectification on machinery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate blend and press plants to contribute to manufacturing output.
  • Monitor and maintain product quality standards at optimum levels.
  • Follow all safe working practices consistently.
  • Maximise the efficient use of plant resources.
  • Input data for OEE, SAP, and production records.
  • Maintain a clean and tidy work environment following 5S practices.
  • Perform routine plant maintenance as needed.

Hours & Shift Pattern:

  • Full-time, 42 hours per week
  • Salary based on a 12-hour continental shift pattern
  • Current working hours: Monday – Friday, rotating shifts:
  • Days: 06:00 – 14:00
  • Lates: 14:00 – 22:00
  • Nights: 22:00 – 06:00
