A well established rural contracting business operating across Essex and surrounding counties is looking to appoint an experienced machinery operator to support a diverse portfolio of agricultural and land-based works. This position offers long term security, modern equipment, and substantial overtime for those keen to maximise earnings.
The successful candidate will be involved in a broad mix of agricultural and countryside projects, including:
- Highway verge and hedge operations
- Pasture and grassland improvement
- Rural fencing and infrastructure works
- Countryside access maintenance
- Farm support tasks
- Small scale groundworks and land development
- Forestry and vegetation management
This is a practical, site-based role suited to someone comfortable working outdoors in all seasons.
Key Duties:
- Operating high-horsepower tractors and specialist attachments
- Using plant machinery such as excavators, telehandlers and dumpers
- Carrying out routine machine checks and basic maintenance
- Working independently to complete scheduled works
- Maintaining high standards of safety and presentation on client sites
The Candidate:
- Demonstrable experience operating large agricultural tractors
- Full UK driving licence
- Competent using agricultural or construction plant
- Telehandler certification advantageous
- 360 excavator experience beneficial
- Self-motivated and reliable
- Practical mindset with good mechanical awareness
The Package:
