Our client is seeking a Field Service Engineer to join their team, covering Scotland. The role involves servicing, maintaining and supporting customer equipment across Dumfries, Ayrshire, Glasgow, Edinburgh and surrounding areas. Working independently in the field, you will be responsible for fault finding, repairs, preventative maintenance and ensuring excellent customer service at all times. This is a Monday to Friday position, working 8:00am – 5:00pm, with participation in an on-call rota of 1 week in every 5.
Responsibilities
- Fault finding, repairs and preventative maintenance across customer sites.
- Operate independently in the field.
- Ensure excellent customer service at all times.
Qualifications & Experience
- Previous experience as a Field Service Engineer, Service Technician or Maintenance Engineer.
- Strong fault finding and diagnostic skills.
- Practical problem‑solving ability.
- Customer focused with excellent communication skills.
- Flexible and willing to travel throughout the designated territory.
- Able to participate in an on‑call rota.
- Full UK driving licence required.
- Based within a commutable distance of Dumfries, Ayrshire, Glasgow or Edinburgh.
Package
- Salary £50,000 DOE.
- Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm.
- On‑call rota: 1 week in every 5.
- Overtime paid at time and a half on Saturdays.
- Double time paid on Sundays.
- Company van provided with personal use permitted.
- Opportunity to work across a varied customer base throughout Scotland.
