An opportunity has become available for a qualified Chartered Surveyor to join a well-established and respected rural team covering the Midlands and surrounding areas. This is a varied role working with a wide range of clients including landowners, farmers, developers, investors and rural property owners. The successful candidate will be involved across agency, valuation, rural professional work, planning and development matters while supporting the continued growth of the department. The role will involve working across a broad geographical area as part of a supportive and experienced rural team. The position would suit someone confident working independently while also contributing as part of a wider business.
Key Responsibilities
- Property agency work including marketing reports, negotiations, sales progression and client management
- Carrying out Red Book valuations across a range of rural and residential property types
- Supporting clients with BPS, CSS and grant applications
- Managing land held under FBTs, grazing licences and contract farming agreements
- Assisting with planning applications and rural development matters
- Supporting development projects including option and promotion agreements
- Involvement in dispersal sales, collective sales and fodder sales
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships across the rural sector
- Supporting the wider rural team across day to day professional work

The Candidate
- MRICS qualified surveyor
- Registered RICS valuer preferred but not essential
- Strong knowledge and understanding of farming and the agricultural sector
- Previous experience within agency, valuation, development, or compulsory purchase work
- Confident communicator with strong relationship building skills
- Organised, accurate, and commercially aware
- Comfortable managing workload independently and as part of a team
- Good problem solving ability and attention to detail
- Professional and approachable manner with a positive attitude
- Full clean UK driving licence with access to own vehicle
