Responsibilities
- Planning and organising daily delivery schedules
- Allocating vehicles and routes to ensure deliveries are completed efficiently
- Liaising with drivers regarding routes, schedules and any operational issues
- Arranging deliveries through external carriers and couriers when required
- Monitoring vehicle servicing, maintenance and repairs
- Managing tachograph downloads and driver compliance records
- Carrying out driver licence checks and monitoring CPC requirements
- Working with warehouse staff to ensure deliveries are prepared on time
- Dealing with delivery queries and resolving issues when they arise
- Keeping accurate transport and compliance records
- Ensuring transport activities are carried out in line with current legislation
Candidate
- Experience in transport planning, logistics or a similar role
- CPC and tachograph knowledge and experience
- A good understanding of drivers' hours regulations and transport compliance
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Good IT and administration skills
- The ability to work well under pressure and solve problems as they arise
- A positive and proactive approach to work
