An established agricultural business is seeking an experienced Unit Manager to take full responsibility for the day to day running of a free range pig breeding unit. This is a practical, hands on role focused on maintaining high standards of animal health, welfare and operational performance while leading and supporting an on-site team.

Our client is a well established and welfare led free range pig producer operating to recognised industry standards. The business is professionally run, quality driven and committed to continuous improvement across its production systems. The appointment is being handled on a confidential basis.

The Candidate

  • Minimum of two years’ experience within the pig sector
  • Strong understanding of breeding unit operations and pig health management
  • Proven ability to lead, motivate and support staff
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
  • Confident working with production data and performance figures
  • Proactive, reliable, and solutions focused
  • Strong awareness of health & safety, biosecurity and welfare standards
  • Full UK driving licence.
