An established family run poultry business in Somerset is seeking an Assistant Farm Manager (Rearing) to support the management of a modern pullet rearing site as part of its continued growth. This is a hands on role where you will work closely with the wider team, taking responsibility for flock health, environmental management, biosecurity and day to day site performance, helping to ensure high welfare standards and efficient operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the day to day running of a pullet rearing farm, ensuring welfare, biosecurity and operational standards are consistently met
- Monitor flock health and performance, taking proactive action where required
- Maintain optimal housing and environmental conditions
- Keep accurate and up-to-date records to support performance monitoring
- Assist in supervising, training, and supporting farm staff
- Ensure compliance with industry, legislative, and company standards
- Contribute to performance analysis and continuous improvement initiatives
- Provide cover across the team when required
