The Job:
An established international business specialising in equipment and technology for the agricultural and food processing sectors is looking for an experienced Senior Client Advisor to join its commercial team. This is a varied role combining account management, business development and technical sales, with responsibility for developing established customer relationships while identifying new commercial opportunities.
You will work closely with customers to understand their operations, identify suitable solutions and manage the relationship throughout the sales process.
Key Responsibilities:
- - Manage and develop a portfolio of key UK customers
- - Identify opportunities to grow existing accounts and generate new business
- - Visit customers to understand their operational requirements and discuss suitable equipment and solutions
- - Deliver a consultative sales approach, providing commercially and technically informed advice
- - Carry out product demonstrations, presentations and customer meetings
- - Prepare quotations, proposals and commercial information
- - Work closely with internal engineering, technical and service teams to deliver customer solutions
- - Maintain strong product and industry knowledge and keep up to date with market developments
- - Monitor competitor activity and identify opportunities within the market
- - Maintain accurate CRM records, forecasts and account plans
- - Build long-term relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders
- - Represent the business at exhibitions, industry events and customer meetings

The Candidate:
- - Proven experience in B2B sales, account management, business development or technical sales, ideally within equipment, machinery or another technical product environment
- - Strong commercial and negotiation skills, with the ability to identify opportunities and develop them into long-term customer relationships
- - Confident working with senior decision-makers and providing a consultative approach based on understanding the customer's operation and requirements
- - Good technical aptitude and the ability to understand and communicate equipment, machinery or technical solutions effectively
- - Excellent communication, presentation and relationship-building skills, with a professional approach to customer service
- - Self-motivated and organised, with the ability to manage a territory, prioritise opportunities and work independently
- - Experience within agriculture, agricultural machinery, food processing, engineering, manufacturing or industrial equipment would be advantageous
- - Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel extensively across the UK

Candidate Requirements
All applicants must hold a minimum of an NVQ Level 2, Scottish NVQ Level 2, or an equivalent qualification relevant to the role applied for. Candidates must also have the legal right to work in the UK or hold a valid visa permitting employment.
