The Job: We are recruiting on behalf of a leading livestock genetics company for an experienced AI Technician to join their expanding team. This is a field-based role providing on-farm artificial insemination (AI) services to both dairy and beef producers, with a strong focus on reproductive performance and genetic advancement. You’ll work closely with farmers and internal technical teams to deliver high-quality breeding outcomes, while also providing guidance on herd reproduction planning and genetic decision-making. The Candidate
- Proven experience in artificial insemination of cattle (AI Certification preferred)
- Strong understanding of bovine reproduction, heat detection, and breeding cycles
- Comfortable working independently on-farm and engaging directly with producers
- Excellent communication and record-keeping skills
- Passion for livestock genetics and herd improvement
- Full UK (or equivalent) driving licence and flexibility to travel regionally
- Experience with genomic selection, EBVs, or herd management software is advantageous but not essential
