The company is seeking an enthusiastic and commercially driven Area Sales Manager to join its sales team, covering the Eastern England territory. Reporting into the UK Sales Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing sales activities across a network of agricultural machinery dealers. This home-based role requires strong self-management, with responsibility for scheduling, forward planning, forecasting and maintaining optimal dealer stocking levels.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and develop sales performance across a defined territory of agricultural machinery dealers
- Drive dealer business development through regular call cycles and proactive relationship management
- Maintain appropriate dealer stocking levels through forward planning and accurate forecasting
- React flexibly to seasonal changes and dealership opportunities
- Support demonstrations, installations, and training activities with practical, hands-on input
- Qualify sales enquiries, prepare quotations, and close deals with a resilient, tenacious approach
- Develop long-term commercial success through strong working relationships with key dealer personnel
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the UK agricultural machinery market and dealer landscape
- Operate autonomously while managing your own schedule and territory priorities
Essential Experience & Skills
- Demonstrable commercial success within the agricultural machinery sector
- Experience working within the UK agricultural machinery dealer network or for a manufacturer
- Proven ability to work within budgetary frameworks and consistently achieve or exceed sales targets
- Hands-on, semi-technical experience with the setup and operation of modern agricultural machinery
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of building long-term professional relationships
- High level of IT literacy, including CRM systems, social media, and modern sales & marketing methods
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage a territory autonomously
- Strong commercial acumen, including enquiry qualification, quotation preparation, and deal closure

- Solid background in agricultural machinery sales or technical support
- Positive service-oriented approach toward dealer relationships
- Flexible, resilient, and commercially tenacious
- Comfortable working remotely and managing your own workload
- Located in or willing to relocate to Eastern England
- Willingness to travel extensively throughout the territory
- Full, clean UK driving licence
