This is a hands-on field-based role suited to an experienced professional with a strong background in tree work, who is confident working at height and committed to high standards of safety and workmanship. You will play a key role in delivering a wide range of arboricultural services across domestic and commercial sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out all aspects of tree surgery including climbing, pruning, dismantling and felling
  • Operate and maintain equipment such as chainsaws, chippers and rigging systems
  • Perform aerial rescue operations when required
  • Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with industry best practices
  • Conduct site assessments and identify potential hazards
  • Work effectively as part of a team to deliver projects on time
  • Maintain tools, equipment and vehicles in good working order
  • Provide excellent customer service when interacting with clients on site

The Candidate:

  • Minimum 3+ years’ experience in arboriculture or tree surgery
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., NPTC/LANTRA units for chainsaw use, climbing and aerial rescue)
  • Proven experience in climbing and aerial tree work
  • Good understanding of health and safety practices within arboriculture
  • Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Full UK driving licence (essential)
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Experience with large tree dismantling and rigging techniques
  • MEWP certification
  • First Aid certification (Forestry +F preferred)
  • Knowledge of tree identification and basic tree health assessment
