Key Responsibilities
- Carry out all aspects of tree surgery including climbing, pruning, dismantling and felling
- Operate and maintain equipment such as chainsaws, chippers and rigging systems
- Perform aerial rescue operations when required
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with industry best practices
- Conduct site assessments and identify potential hazards
- Work effectively as part of a team to deliver projects on time
- Maintain tools, equipment and vehicles in good working order
- Provide excellent customer service when interacting with clients on site
The Candidate
- Minimum 3+ years’ experience in arboriculture or tree surgery
- Relevant certifications (e.g., NPTC/LANTRA units for chainsaw use, climbing and aerial rescue)
- Proven experience in climbing and aerial tree work
- Good understanding of health and safety practices within arboriculture
- Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Full UK driving licence (essential)
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Experience with large tree dismantling and rigging techniques
- MEWP certification
- First Aid certification (Forestry +F preferred)
- Knowledge of tree identification and basic tree health assessment
