An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Sheep Supervisor to join a leading agricultural business in Aberdeenshire. This is a hands-on supervisory role, ideal for someone with strong practical sheep farming experience who enjoys leading by example in a busy livestock environment. You will oversee the day-to-day management of sheep operations, ensuring high standards of animal welfare, flock performance and operational efficiency.
Key responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily management, care and welfare of the sheep flock
- Coordinate routine livestock activities including handling, weighing, sorting, drafting and movement of stock
- Monitor flock health, feeding programmes, and performance, working closely with veterinary teams where required
- Support lambing activities and seasonal flock management programmes
- Maintain accurate livestock records and ensure compliance with industry regulations and biosecurity standards
- Supervise and support livestock staff while operating farm machinery and livestock handling equipment safely

The Candidate:

- Experience with lambing, breeding programmes, livestock recording systems, and performance monitoring would be advantageous
- Competent operating livestock handling equipment and agricultural machinery, with telehandler or similar experience desirable
- Strong organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills with a practical, hands-on approach
- Full UK driving licence preferred, with flexibility to work seasonal hours of 50-60 hours per week
The Package:
