The Role
Service Technician / Engineer – Cumbria – Competitive, DOE
We are seeking a motivated and technically skilled Service Technician / Engineer to join a busy, expanding service team. Working from a modern, well-equipped workshop, you will carry out servicing, diagnostics, repairs, inspections, and pre-delivery inspections (PDI) on a wide range of specialised construction, forestry, and industrial machinery.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out service, repair, diagnostics, inspections, and PDI on new and used machinery.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver high-quality results.
- Maintain excellent standards of safety, quality, and documentation.
- Produce accurate reports for all work undertaken.
- Engage in ongoing training to further technical skills and product knowledge.
The Candidate
- NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) in a relevant engineering discipline.
- Previous experience in forestry, construction plant, or agricultural machinery engineering.
- Strong technical ability in diagnostics, servicing, and repairs.
- Detail-focused, ambitious, and committed to delivering quality.
- Team player with strong communication skills.
Desirable
- NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) or higher.
- Experience with specialised machinery across construction, forestry, or industrial sectors.
