We are seeking a technically minded individual with hands on experience in dairy farm machinery, cow shed layouts, parlour equipment and farming infrastructure. This role is ideal for a Dairy Engineer, Dairy Technician or Farm Machinery Specialist who wants to transition into a customer facing technical sales position.
You will support dairy farmers, dealers and distributors by advising on the most suitable equipment for their setup, understanding shed logistics and helping design efficient, bespoke solutions tailored to each farm’s needs. Alongside relationship management and business development, the role requires credible technical guidance based on real world dairy engineering experience.
Key Responsibilities- Advise farmers and dealers on dairy machinery, cow shed layout, parlour design considerations and equipment selection
- Use your practical engineering knowledge to create and support bespoke on farm solutions
- Manage and support existing dealers and farming customers across Scotland
- Build strong, long term relationships to drive engagement and sales growth
- Identify new business opportunities within the dairy farming sector
- Conduct farm visits to assess site requirements and provide product demonstrations
- Offer technical support, troubleshooting and guidance both on-farm and remotely
- Monitor market activity and competitor offerings, feeding insights back to management
- Represent the brand at agricultural events, shows and exhibitions

The Candidate
Practical experience with dairy farm machinery, parlour equipment, cow shed systems or dairy engineering
Experience in roles such as Dairy Engineer, Farm Machinery Technician, Parlour Installer or similar
Interest in moving into a technical sales role (previous sales experience not required but beneficial)
Confident communication, problem solving and customer facing skills
Highly self-motivated with the ability to work independently across a regional territory
Full UK driving licence
The Package
Salary £30,000 – £35,000 basic salary DOE
3% uncapped commission on all sales (OTE £50,000–£60,000)
Fully expensed company vehicle (including private use)
25 days holiday
