Sales Representative - Horticulture - £30,000 - £40,000 - Cambridgeshire - Office Based
The Job
Our client is an established and growing horticultural business with over 40 years’ experience growing and supplying a wide range of trees and shrubs in various sizes and formations. The business is well established within the horticultural sector and supplies plants to recognised industry standards and specifications. Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit an enthusiastic Sales Representative – Horticulture to join their busy team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced sales professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced office environment and is confident providing a high level of customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Quoting for large contract jobs
- Quoting for immediate supply jobs
- Understanding and adapting to customer requirements for individual projects
- Providing excellent customer service to existing and prospective clients
- Identifying new sales opportunities and developing the customer base
- Responding quickly and effectively to changing customer demands
- General sales administration
- Entering customer orders onto the internal system as required
- Maintaining accurate records and ensuring attention to detail throughout the sales process
The Candidate
- Previous sales experience is essential
- Knowledge of trees, shrubs or the horticultural sector would be advantageous
- Confident and enthusiastic approach to sales and customer service
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Computer literate with good IT skills
- Confident and accurate with figures
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
- Ability to react quickly to changing customer requirements
- Able to work independently and as part of a busy sales team
- Proactive approach with the ability to identify new business opportunities
The Package
- Salary £30,000 – £40,000 DOE
- Office-based role
- In-house training provided
- Working Hours:Monday to Friday – 8:00am to 5:00pm
Candidate Requirements
All applicants must hold a minimum of an NVQ Level 2, Scottish NVQ Level 2, or an equivalent qualification relevant to the role applied for. Candidates must also have the legal right to work in the UK or hold a valid visa permitting employment.
