This is a senior, hands on role where you’ll be responsible for the overall performance of the branch. You’ll take ownership of financial results, drive sales, manage day‑to‑day operations, and make sure the branch delivers on wider business goals. You’ll be supported by the senior leadership team and report directly to the Managing Director. The focus is on hitting budget, growing revenue, improving efficiency, and maintaining high standards of customer service while ensuring full compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the day‑to‑day running of the branch and make sure everything operates smoothly
- Drive sales across all departments and deliver on branch KPIs and revenue targets
- Plan and manage staffing, resources, facilities, and general branch operations
- Lead, support, and develop the team, including recruitment, training, and performance management
- Ensure strong communication between sales, parts, and service teams
- Monitor market trends, supplier relationships, and marketing activity to support growth
- Put action plans in place to improve performance, productivity, and efficiency
- Maintain high levels of customer service and deal with escalated issues where needed
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships to encourage repeat business
- Manage budgets, financial performance, and cost control
- Oversee purchasing and general branch expenditure
- Ensure health and safety standards are met at all times
- Maintain a clean, safe, and well‑organised working environment

The Candidate
- Experience in branch management, team leadership, or a similar senior role
- Strong background in sales, business development, and financial management
- Proven track record of hitting targets and driving commercial performance
- Confident managing and motivating teams in a hands‑on environment
- Good understanding of day‑to‑day operations and customer service delivery
- Knowledge of health and safety requirements in the workplace
- Organised and able to manage multiple priorities effectively
- Clear and confident communicator
- Comfortable using IT systems, reporting tools, and Microsoft Office
- Practical, reliable, and focused on getting results while maintaining good customer service
Candidate Requirements
