Rural Surveyor - East Yorkshire - £50,000 +Mileage Allowance + Flexible Working + Career Development
The Job:
- Provide estate and property management advice to a wide range of rural clients.
- Manage the sale and letting of farms, agricultural land and rural property.
- Oversee the management of agricultural and residential estates.
- Deliver business management, investment and development advice.
- Advise on environmental schemes, farming incentives and compensation matters.
- Undertake rural property and land valuations for lending, taxation and investment purposes.
- Identify land management improvements and diversification opportunities.
- Support clients with utility, infrastructure and renewable energy projects.
- Deliver a broad range of rural professional consultancy services.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships.

Working across East Yorkshire and the surrounding area, you'll become part of a close-knit team delivering professional advice to a diverse portfolio of rural clients. The role offers genuine variety, allowing you to gain experience across estate management, professional consultancy and rural property transactions while developing long-term client relationships. Whether joining on a full-time or part-time basis, you'll be encouraged to take on increasing responsibility as your experience develops within a supportive and collaborative environment.
The Candidate:
- MRICS or AssocRICS qualification (or be recently qualified).
- A degree in Rural Surveying or a related discipline.
- Up to five years' post-qualification experience within rural practice.
- Strong commercial awareness and an interest in rural property.
- The ability to manage a varied workload with minimal supervision.
- Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
- A proactive and organised approach to work.
- A full UK driving licence.

Candidate Requirements
All applicants must hold a minimum of an NVQ Level 2, Scottish NVQ Level 2, or an equivalent qualification relevant to the role applied for. Candidates must also have the legal right to work in the UK or hold a valid visa permitting employment.
