The Job

Our client is recruiting a Ruminant Sales Specialist to manage and grow an established customer base. The role focuses on delivering profitable feed sales while acting as a trusted technical and commercial advisor to dairy, beef, and sheep producers. You will develop long‑term relationships, drive volume and margin, and support customers with practical, results‑led nutritional solutions. This field‑based role requires strong technical credibility, commercial discipline, and the ability to influence decision‑makers on farm.

The Candidate

  • Proven experience in ruminant feed sales (dairy, beef, and/or sheep)
  • Strong understanding of ruminant nutrition, forage utilisation and on‑farm performance drivers
  • Ability to build and retain long‑term farmer relationships based on trust and results
  • Commercial mindset with experience managing territory performance, margin and volume
  • Confidence working independently across a large geographic patch
  • Strong communication and influencing skills with farmers, farm managers and decision‑makers
  • Organised, self‑motivated and comfortable working to targets and KPIs
