A well established property and rural consultancy is looking for a Qualified or Senior Rural Surveyor to join their Rugby office. You’ll work as part of a wider rural team, advising a range of clients including landowners, farmers, developers and investors on the management, value and development of their property assets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of rural and commercial property, including farms, land and diversified assets
  • Oversee FBTs, grasskeep, and contract farming agreements, along with commercial tenancies and licences
  • Carry out property inspections, rent reviews, notices, reporting, and client communications using ReLeased
  • Win new instructions and support business development activity
  • Prepare marketing reports and sales particulars, manage listings, and conduct viewings
  • Negotiate sales and provide professional agency advice to clients
  • Assist with RICS Red Book valuations across a range of property types
  • Support development schemes, option agreements, and land promotion work
  • Assist with planning applications and monitor local planning policy changes
  • Work closely with partners and senior colleagues to deliver client requirements across a wide region

The Candidate

  • MRICS qualified (RICS Registered Valuer preferred but not essential)
  • Experience in property management, ideally within rural or mixed portfolios
  • Strong communication and client relationship skills
  • Commercially aware with a proactive approach to business development
  • Confident working independently and as part of a wider team
  • Organised, detail focused and professional in approach
  • Good working knowledge of ReLeased, LandApp, and Microsoft Office
  • Strong problem solving skills with the ability to manage a varied workload
  • Must hold a minimum of an NVQ Level 2, Scottish NVQ Level 2, or an equivalent qualification relevant to the role applied for
  • Must have the legal right to work in the UK or hold a valid visa permitting employment
