Sales Representative – Dairy & Agricultural Products - Omagh (field-based) -£30,000 – £40,000 +Commission +Company vehicle / Car Allowance
We are looking for a Sales Representative to develop business across Omagh, selling a range of dairy equipment, feed products and associated agricultural solutions. This is a field-based, customer facing role suited to someone with a genuine understanding of farming who can build trusted relationships with farmers and agricultural dealers.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop new sales opportunities across the territory while managing and growing existing customer accounts
- Sell dairy equipment, feed and associated agricultural products directly to farmers and through dealer networks
- Visit farms regularly to understand customer requirements and recommend suitable products and solutions
- Build strong long term relationships with dairy and livestock farmers, dealers and other agricultural customers
- Manage the sales pipeline, follow up opportunities and work towards agreed commercial targets
- Attend farm demonstrations, agricultural events and other industry activities to generate new business and strengthen customer relationships
- Keep up to date with local market conditions and provide feedback on customer requirements, competitors and product opportunities
The Company
An established agricultural business with a strong presence within the farming sector and established relationships across the agricultural supply chain. The business provides practical products and solutions to farmers and is looking for a commercially minded individual who understands the industry and enjoys working directly with customers.
The Candidate
- Previous agricultural sales experience, or a strong farming background combined with the commercial drive and confidence to move into a sales role
- Practical understanding of dairy farming and/or livestock production, with the ability to have credible conversations with farmers about their businesses
- Confident building relationships with farmers, dealers and other agricultural customers, with strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience or knowledge of dairy equipment, animal feed, agricultural inputs or related products would be advantageous
- Self-motivated and commercially driven, with the ability to manage your own territory, organise farm visits and develop new business independently
- A background in herdsperson work, farm management, animal husbandry or another hands-on agricultural role would be considered
- Full driving licence and willingness to travel throughout County Down or County Armagh as required
The Package
- Salary £30,000–£40,000DOE
- 4% commission on sales above an agreed threshold
- Company vehicle or car allowance
- Company phone, laptop and sales tools
- Full-time, permanent field-based position
- High level of autonomy with the opportunity to develop and grow your own territory
Candidate Requirements
All applicants must hold a minimum of an NVQ Level 2, Scottish NVQ Level 2, or an equivalent qualification relevant to the role applied for. Candidates must also have the legal right to work in the UK or hold a valid visa permitting employment.
