TheJob:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Mobile Assistant Farm Manager to join a well established poultry business, supporting a number of broiler farms across Lincolnshire. This is a hands on role, working alongside Farm Managers to provide additional support and cover across the farms. You’ll gain experience across different sites while helping to maintain high standards of bird welfare, farm performance and biosecurity.
Your responsibilities:
- Supporting the day to day running of broiler farms
- Monitoring bird health, welfare, feed and water
- Assisting with environmental systems and farm records
- Supporting and coordinating Farm Assistants
- Providing cover for Farm Managers and Assistant Farm Managers
- Responding to alarms and occasional out of hours requirements
- Maintaining high standards of health, safety and biosecurity
The Candidate:
- Experience working with broilers or commercial poultry experience
- Poultry Passport Level 2 or 3, or willingness to work towards it
- Good animal welfare and husbandry knowledge
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- The ability to work independently and use initiative
- A full UK driving licence
The Package:
- Salary£33,500 DOE
- A company vehicle will be provided for travel between farms
- Excellent opportunities for training and career development
Candidate Requirements
All applicants must hold a minimum of an NVQ Level 2, Scottish NVQ Level 2, or an equivalent qualification relevant to the role applied for. Candidates must also have the legal right to work in the UK or hold a valid visa permitting employment.
