We’re looking for a reliable and hard working Broiler Stockperson to join our award winning poultry team on a well run, modern site just outside Market Drayton. This is a hands on role suited to someone who takes pride in stockmanship and understands what good bird welfare looks like day in, day out. You’ll be working across an 8 shed, 380,000 bird broiler unit, supporting the day to day management of the flock.

Key Responsibilities

  • Daily bird checks and maintaining high welfare standards
  • Monitoring feed, water, ventilation and environment
  • Identifying and acting on any health or performance issues
  • General shed work including litter management and cleaning
  • Assisting with turnaround and preparation between crops
  • Working closely with the wider team to keep standards high

The Candidate

  • Previous poultry or livestock experience preferred
  • Strong eye for detail and good stock sense
  • Willingness to work outdoors and in a practical farm environment
  • Reliable, flexible, and able to work as part of a team
  • A good attitude - someone who’ll roll their sleeves up and get stuck in

Hours & Rota

  • 48 hours per week
  • 6 days on, 1 day off
  • 7 week rotation, with 1 full weekend off in every 7

The Package

  • Hourly rate £12.00–£14.00 DOE
  • £19.00 per hour weekend rate
  • Company van provided (if needed)

All applicants must hold a minimum of an NVQ Level 2, Scottish NVQ Level 2, or an equivalent qualification relevant to the role applied for. Candidates must also have the legal right to work in the UK or hold a valid visa permitting employment.
