You will take ownership of the full commercial function and be accountable for delivering long term growth targets. This senior, hands-on role requires the development and execution of a rolling 5 year commercial plan, driving new business, market expansion and customer penetration across all product and service lines. You will lead the commercial team, set clear KPIs and build a high performance culture while acting as a visible, customer-facing commercial leader.
This is a national role with office presence required (5 days per week unless visiting customers). Office commutable from North Cambridgeshire, Norfolk and South Lincolnshire.
A leading organisation in the agri-services / technical agriculture sector supplying technical agricultural products and services to growers and the wider supply chain. The business combines technical expertise with commercial ambition and is focused on sustainable growth across its product and service portfolio. You will work closely with technical, operational and support teams and represent the business at industry events, technical meetings and conferences.
The Candidate
- Proven senior commercial leadership experience within the agricultural sector
- Demonstrable success delivering multi-year commercial or business plans
- Experienced people manager with a track record of developing high-performing teams
- Strong customer-facing experience and relationship-building capability with growers, agronomists and distributors
- Excellent commercial acumen, negotiation and strategic planning skills
- FACTS and/or BASIS qualification(s) (essential)
- Ability to work from the main office a minimum of three days per week.
