An opportunity has arisen for an experienced and hands‐on Assistant Farm Manager to join a successful soft and stone fruit business. Working closely with the Farm Manager, you'll help oversee day‐to‐day operations, from crop planning and harvest coordination to staff supervision and irrigation management. You'll play a key role in ensuring high quality fruit production that meets the standards of major UK retailers, driving efficiency, quality and consistency across the farm. The Candidate:
- Proven experience in commercial fruit production, ideally across soft and stone fruit
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage seasonal and multilingual teams
- Organised and detail‐focused, with a proactive and problem‐solving approach
- Skilled in crop planning, harvesting, and maintaining quality and yield standards
- Knowledge of Red Tractor, BRCGS, and supermarket compliance requirements
- Confident using IT systems (e.g. Microsoft Office, farm management software)
- Flexible and hands‐on, with the ability to work weekends and extended hours during peak season
- Passionate about agriculture, innovation, and continuous improvement
The Package:
- Salary dependent on experience
