An established and growing agricultural business is looking for a Livestock Nutritionist / Technical Advisor to provide technical and nutritional support to livestock producers across a wide range of species. This role will focus on working directly with farmers to improve feed efficiency, optimise animal performance, and support the development of effective feeding strategies across dairy, beef, youngstock, sheep, and pigs.

Working closely with the commercial, quality, procurement and operations teams, you will play a key role in ensuring customers receive consistent and practical nutritional guidance while identifying opportunities to improve feeding programmes on farm.

Key Responsibilities
  • Providing on farm nutritional advice to livestock producers across multiple species
  • Developing and refining rations to optimise animal performance and feed utilisation
  • Analysing forage results, nutrient data and farm performance metrics
  • Advising on feed intake, ration balance, rumen function, growth rates and finishing performance
  • Supporting customers through seasonal feeding challenges
  • Working alongside commercial teams to provide technical expertise and customer support
  • Attending customer meetings where nutritional guidance is required
  • Supporting new customer onboarding with feeding plans and technical advice
  • Assisting quality and operations teams with resolving technical or product performance queries
  • Maintaining accurate customer visit notes and technical records using CRM systems
  • Using farm data and reporting tools to identify opportunities to improve performance and feed strategies
The Candidate
  • Degree in Agriculture, Animal Science or Animal Nutrition
  • Practical experience working with livestock farmers on feeding strategies
  • Strong knowledge of ruminant nutrition, with willingness to support multi-species systems
  • Experience with ration formulation and interpretation of forage analysis and nutritional data
  • Strong communication and relationship‑building skills
  • Ability to work independently across a large geographic area
  • Full UK driving licence
