We are recruiting an experienced Irrigation Manager to oversee all automated and manual irrigation systems across a commercial farming operation. This hands-on role includes managing irrigation and fertigation programmes, monitoring crop and soil conditions, maintaining infrastructure, and leading an irrigation team. You will also take responsibility for new irrigation projects and work closely with senior management to improve productivity, quality, and sustainability. Weekend and seasonal overtime will be required during peak growing periods.

The Candidate

  • Proven experience managing irrigation systems, ideally across soft and stone fruit crops
  • Strong understanding of fertigation, including EC and pH management
  • Experience with Priva irrigation systems is highly desirable
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
  • Strong leadership and communication skills; experience managing multilingual teams is an advantage
  • Passionate about agriculture, innovation, and high standards of delivery
  • Willing to work weekends and overtime during the growing season
  • Confident IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Desirable: PA1, PA2a, PA3a, PA6 qualifications and experience using Muddy Boots farm management software

The Package

  • Salary of £35,000 to £45,000, dependent on experience
  • Permanent position
  • 28 days’ holiday including bank holidays, plus additional leave from Christmas to New Year
  • Opportunity to lead a key operational function within a growing agricultural business
