Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out maintenance, servicing and repair of specialist forestry equipment in both workshop and field environments
  • Diagnose and resolve hydraulic, electrical and mechanical faults
  • Travel extensively to customer sites, with occasional overnight stays required
  • Deliver excellent customer service and maintain strong working relationships
  • Complete relevant service documentation and use IT systems to support daily activities

Candidate

  • A completed apprenticeship, National Diploma, or equivalent qualification in forestry, agricultural, construction, or a related engineering discipline or significant relevant engineering experience
  • Strong knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems
  • A full UK driving licence
  • Good IT skills
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • A flexible approach to work and travel
  • Ability to learn new technologies quickly
  • Strong problem solving and fault-finding skills
  • Experience working with forestry, agricultural or construction machinery
  • Knowledge of the forestry industry would be advantageous but is not essential
  • All applicants must hold a minimum of an NVQ Level 2, Scottish NVQ Level 2, or an equivalent qualification relevant to the role applied for.
  • Applicants must also have the legal right to work in the UK or hold a valid visa permitting employment.
