HGV Class 2 Driver & Yard Operative -Worcestershire - £33,000-£40,000
The Job:
This is a varied role combining HGV driving, customer deliveries and yard operations. You will be responsible for delivering orders safely and on time, ensuring loads are secure and paperwork is accurate, while providing excellent customer service. When required, you will also support the yard and warehouse team with loading, unloading and stock handling.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver products safely and on time to customers across the region
- Load vehicles, check orders and ensure loads are secure and correctly documented
- Contact customers before delivery to confirm timings and access arrangements
- Complete vehicle checks and comply with driving regulations and company procedures
- Maintain a clean and professional vehicle
- Assist with goods in, goods out, loading and unloading deliveries
- Ensure stock is stored safely and the yard remains clean and organised
- Assist customers with collections and loading where required
- Support the wider branch team with general duties as needed
The Company:
Our client is an established supplier serving the agricultural and rural sectors, providing products to farming businesses, trade customers and the wider rural community. They are looking for a reliable and hands on HGV Driver to support deliveries and assist with the day-to-day running of the branch.
The Candidate:
- Hold a current LGV Category C (Class 2) driving licence
- Have a good understanding of road safety, vehicle checks and load security
- Possess good communication and customer service skills
- Be reliable, organised and comfortable working independently
- Have a positive, team-focused and practical approach
- Be physically fit and willing to undertake manual handling
- Happy to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
The Package:
- Salary£33,000-£40,000 DOE
Candidate Requirements
All applicants must hold a minimum of an NVQ Level 2, Scottish NVQ Level 2, or an equivalent qualification relevant to the role applied for. Candidates must also have the legal right to work in the UK or hold a valid visa permitting employment.
