Our client, a major fresh produce operation based near Hereford, is seeking an experienced Packhouse Manager to lead the day to day running of a busy, seasonal packhouse environment. You will take ownership of all intake, grading, packing and dispatch operations, ensuring customer orders are fulfilled accurately and efficiently. This is a fast paced role in a time sensitive supply chain, requiring strong leadership, problem solving skills and the ability to maintain high standards under pressure.
Key responsibilities:
- Managing daily packhouse operations from intake through to finished goods
- Leading a mixed, seasonal team and ensuring clear communication across shifts
- Implementing and maintaining BRCGS, Food Safety and Health & Safety compliance
- Monitoring KPIs: throughput, waste, labour efficiency, order fulfilment
- Working closely with farming and logistics teams to ensure smooth workflow
- Driving continuous improvement across processes, layout and efficiency
