The Job:
The Herdsmanager will oversee the daily operations of the dairy herd, ensuring efficient, high-performing outcomes across animal health, productivity, and team leadership. Key Responsibilities
– Manage the daily operations of a large-scale (1,800-cow) dairy unit
– Supervise and support a team of 20–30 staff, fostering a culture of teamwork and clear communication
– Oversee all aspects of animal husbandry, including milking, feeding, health checks, and calving
– Maintain high standards of hygiene, animal welfare, and biosecurity
– Coordinate veterinary care, breeding programmes, and herd health strategies

The Candidate:
Essential:
– Substantial experience managing large dairy herds and supervising staff
– Strong leadership and team management skills
