Tree Surgeon / Arborist Climber - Hassocks, Sussex - £28,000-£42,000
A growing arboricultural contractor in Hassocks, Sussex, is looking for an experienced Tree Surgeon / Arborist Climber to join its team. This is a permanent, full time position covering a range of tree surgery work across different projects. You will carry out climbing, pruning, dismantling and crown reductions, working to high safety standards and delivering quality results. Key responsibilities:
- Tree pruning, maintenance and removals
- Tree dismantling, crown reductions and sectional felling
- Climbing and carrying out aerial tree work
- Operating and maintaining arboricultural equipment
- Following health and safety procedures and maintaining high standards of work
- Working effectively both independently and as part of a team

The Candidate:
- Minimum of two years' climbing experience
- NPTC CS30, CS31, CS38, CS39 qualifications
- Full UK driving licence; B+E entitlement would be an advantage
- Emergency First Aid Certificate
- Good understanding of arboricultural health and safety requirements
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic and the ability to work independently and within a team

- Salary of £28,000-£42,000, depending on experience and qualifications

Candidate Requirements
All applicants must hold a minimum of an NVQ Level 2, Scottish NVQ Level 2, or an equivalent qualification relevant to the role applied for. Candidates must also have the legal right to work in the UK or hold a valid visa permitting employment.
