An opportunity has become available for an experienced and motivated individual to join a progressive family run mixed farm located near the Gloucestershire and Wiltshire border. This is a varied hands-on role working across both arable and livestock enterprises, supporting the day-to-day running of the farm alongside wider diversification projects. The successful candidate will take responsibility for a broad range of duties across the business and will also help supervise seasonal staff when required. The farm operates across three separate sites, so the role requires someone who is organised, self-motivated, and capable of managing workloads independently.
Daily duties will include:
- Drilling and establishing crops including wheat, forage and grain maize
- Operating sprayers and fertiliser spreaders
- Relief combine driving during harvest
- Managing the husbandry and feeding of beef cattle
- Operating TMR diet feeders and livestock equipment
- Carrying out machinery repairs and workshop maintenance
- Supporting the day-to-day running of different farm sites
- Assisting with seasonal operations and wider farm projects
- Supervising seasonal staff when required

The Candidate:
- Strong practical experience within arable farming
- Experience working with beef cattle advantageous
- Full clean UK driving licence
- Telehandler certificate
- PA1 and PA2 certificates with spraying experience
- Experience operating combines, seed drills, and GPS guidance systems
- Workshop and machinery maintenance skills
- Able to work independently and manage workload effectively
- Good attention to detail and a positive attitude towards farming
