We are recruiting Forest Managers for several leading forestry and land management businesses throughout the UK. These roles vary from commercial timber operations to estate management, woodland creation and conservation focused environments. As a Forest Manager, you will oversee day to day woodland operations, deliver management plans, liaise with stakeholders and ensure sustainable, compliant forestry practices on behalf of our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and implement Forest Management Plans (FMPs) and grant applications
  • Oversee harvesting, establishment, maintenance and woodland regeneration programmes
  • Monitor woodland health, biodiversity and operational standards
  • Manage contractors, suppliers and liaise with regulatory bodies
  • Support long-term sustainability, certification compliance and timber production
  • Maintain accurate reporting, budgets and operational records

The Candidate:

  • Experience in forestry, land management or a similar role
  • Strong operational and planning ability
  • Understanding of UK forestry legislation, grants and certification schemes
  • Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills
  • ICF membership (or progression toward it) desirable
  • Full UK driving licence

The Package:

Packages vary depending on employer (circa £35,000 – £60,000 basics) but typically include:
