A full time Field Biologist role supporting the delivery of a UK wide field trials programme. You will independently plan, execute and report an assigned programme of 30–50 field trials per year, primarily GEP bio‑efficacy trials, while supporting GLP studies. The role involves close collaboration with senior field staff, liaison with farmers and suppliers, data capture and reporting, and maintaining compliance with GEP/GLP guidelines. Flexible working hours are required, including occasional weekends and public holidays, with time‑off‑in‑lieu provided.

Our client is an independent research and product development organisation operating within crop production, crop protection, crop nutrition, food quality, environmental preservation, genetics and seeds. The business delivers investigative research and field‑based trials to a high technical and regulatory standard.

The Candidate

  • Degree qualified in Agriculture, Biological Science or related subject
  • 2–3 years’ experience managing agricultural field trials
  • Knowledge of GEP guidelines (GLP experience desirable)
  • PA1 and PA6 essential (PA4g and PA11 desirable)
  • Good IT skills, ideally including ARM software
  • Self‑motivated, organised and able to work independently and as part of a team
