Hours: 39 hours per week, 2-2-3 shift pattern
The Job: You will work closely with the Farm Manager to supervise day to day field crop operations, including planting, growing, harvesting and post harvest handling. This is a hands-on role that involves leading a team, monitoring crops and making sure everything runs smoothly and safely.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the crop production team and make sure orders are delivered on time
- Make sure operations run efficiently, reducing waste and keeping quality high
- Manage resources including stock, equipment, and labour to get tasks done
- Keep the fields, crop handling, and storage areas clean and safe
- Train new team members and support their development
- Keep records accurate and follow all standards and legal requirements
- Work with other teams across the business to support overall operations
- Escalate any formal staff issues, quality concerns, or order problems to the Farm Manager

- Supervisory experience

- Good numeracy and communication skills
- Experience of working to KPIs
- Experience in the fresh produce industry
- Forklift truck certificate
- Crop production experience
- Pesticide PA1 qualification
- ND in Agriculture or equivalent
- Minimum Level 2 NVQ or equivalent
