The Job:

We are recruiting for a Farm Accountant to join a well-established family-run business covering agriculture and construction. This is a part-time role managing the day-to-day accounts, with a focus on the farming business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Managing day to day farm accounts
• Processing purchase and sales invoices
• Bookkeeping and bank reconciliations
• Maintaining accurate financial records
• Using Farmplan, QuickBooks and Gatekeeper
• Producing reports and spreadsheets
• Supporting accounts for the construction business
• General accounts administration

The Candidate:

• Previous experience in farm accounts, agricultural bookkeeping or a similar role
• Good understanding of bookkeeping and financial processes
• Agricultural experience is highly desirable
• Experience with Farmplan preferred
• QuickBooks and/or Gatekeeper experience advantageous
• Good Excel skills and strong numerical accuracy
• AAT qualification or equivalent experience desirable
• Organised, reliable and able to work independently

The Package:

• Salary circa £40,000 pro rata
• 4 days per week
• Hybrid/home working available

All applicants must hold a minimum of an NVQ Level 2, Scottish NVQ Level 2, or an equivalent qualification relevant to the role applied for. Candidates must also have the legal right to work in the UK or hold a valid visa permitting employment.
