Arboricultural Consultant - Evesham / Solihull area (Ideally based within approximately 1 hour) - £30,000–£40,000
We are recruiting an Arboricultural Consultant to join an established arboricultural consultancy, covering the Evesham, Solihull and wider Midlands area.
This opportunity is suitable for candidates at different stages of their arboricultural career, from those looking to develop their first consultancy experience through to experienced Consultants who are confident managing surveys, reports and client projects independently.
You will work across a varied portfolio of projects, including residential and commercial development, estates and landowners, educational sites and local authority work.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out tree surveys and inspections across a range of sites
- Undertake BS5837 tree surveys for planning and development projects
- Produce Arboricultural Impact Assessments and Arboricultural Method Statements
- Prepare Tree Protection Plans and tree constraints information
- Conduct tree condition and risk assessments
- Advise clients on tree management and development constraints
- Support applications relating to Tree Preservation Orders and Conservation Areas
- Liaise with clients, developers, planning teams and local authorities
- Prepare clear and commercially focused arboricultural reports
- Organise and manage site visits and workload
- Develop client relationships and take on greater project responsibility as experience develops

- The Candidate
- Knowledge or practical experience within arboriculture
- Good tree identification, surveying and inspection skills
- Understanding of tree health, condition, defects and risk
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Able to work independently and organise field-based work effectively
- Relevant arboricultural qualification would be beneficial
- Knowledge or experience of BS5837 would be advantageous, although development can be provided for more junior candidates
- Previous consultancy experience beneficial for more experienced applicants
- Applications welcomed from Arboricultural Consultants, Tree Surveyors, Tree Officers and experienced Arborists looking to move into consultancy
- Full UK driving licence due to the field-based nature of the role
