An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Forest Manager to join a well established forestry management team based in Dumfries. The role involves managing a varied portfolio of forest and woodland assets on behalf of private, institutional and investment clients. This is a senior, client facing position with responsibility for planning and delivering forestry operations, ensuring compliance and providing high quality professional advice. The role also offers scope to contribute to team leadership, including mentoring junior foresters and supporting wider business development.

The Candidate:
- Proven experience in a senior forestry or woodland management role
- Strong silvicultural and operational forestry knowledge
- Experience planning and supervising harvesting, restocking, and estate operations
- Proven ability to manage contractors, budgets, and health & safety compliance
- Confident communicator with direct client-facing experience
- Highly organised, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently
- IT literate, with experience using forestry, mapping, and reporting systems
- Forestry or land-based qualification (degree or equivalent) preferred
- ICF membership or working towards chartered status desirable
- Full UK driving licence essential
