An opportunity is available for a Refrigeration Service & Installation Engineer to join a specialist agricultural engineering business working within the dairy sector. The role involves installing, servicing and maintaining a wide range of milk cooling and refrigeration equipment as part of a small and dedicated team.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain and service milk cooling and refrigeration systems
- Diagnose and repair electrical and refrigeration faults
- Carry out planned maintenance and emergency breakdown work
- Deliver excellent customer service on-site
- Participate in an on-call rota when required
The Candidate
- Electrical knowledge and fault finding skills
- Understanding of refrigeration principles
- FGAS qualification essential
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Experience within farming or dairy environments would be advantageous, but is not essential
Location
A combination of workshop-based and field based work covering England and Wales.
The Package
- Salary £30,000 – £50,000 dependent on experience
- 20 days holiday plus bank holidays
- Company pension scheme
- Service vehicle provided
- Mobile phone and laptop supplied
- Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week
- Participation in an on-call rota is required
- Overnight stays are not usually required
Candidate Requirements
All applicants must hold a minimum of an NVQ Level 2, Scottish NVQ Level 2, or an equivalent qualification relevant to the role applied for. Candidates must also have the legal right to work in the UK or hold a valid visa permitting employment.
