Electrical Fitter - Bradford -Competitive Salary
The Job:
We are looking for an Electrical Fitter to join an established engineering and manufacturing business. This is a hands on role involving the fitting, assembly, wiring and testing of electrical equipment and control systems, working from engineering drawings and electrical schematics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble and fit electrical equipment, components and control systems
- Carry out electrical wiring and installation work to engineering drawings and specifications
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and technical drawings
- Install cables, terminals, control devices and other electrical components
- Carry out inspection, testing and basic fault-finding on completed assemblies
- Check work to ensure it meets required quality, safety and engineering standards
- Identify and report any issues with components, materials, drawings or assembly
- Complete production paperwork and documentation accurately while maintaining a clean and safe working area

An established engineering and manufacturing business producing electrical and control systems for a range of customers. The business provides a practical working environment with opportunities for training and further technical development.
The Candidate:
- Previous experience in electrical fitting, electrical assembly, panel wiring or a similar engineering/manufacturing environment
- Confident working from electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and engineering drawings
- Strong practical and technical ability, with good attention to detail and a methodical approach to electrical assembly
- A good understanding of electrical principles, safe working practices, testing and basic fault-finding
- Reliable and organised, with the ability to work independently while also contributing effectively within a wider engineering or production team
- An electrical qualification, apprenticeship or relevant technical training would be advantageous, although relevant hands‑on experience will be considered

Candidate Requirements
All applicants must hold a minimum of an NVQ Level 2, Scottish NVQ Level 2, or an equivalent qualification relevant to the role applied for. Candidates must also have the legal right to work in the UK or hold a valid visa permitting employment.
