We are looking for a passionate and experienced Assistant Farm Manager or Senior Farm Operator to support their operations and help drive the farm's success.
The Job:
- Assist the Farm Manager in daily operations, including planting, harvesting, and crop management
- Oversee the maintenance of farm equipment and infrastructure
- Monitor and ensure crop health through regular inspections, pest control, and soil management
- Supervise and manage farm workers, ensuring productivity and adherence to safety protocols
- Coordinate with suppliers, logistics teams, and customers to meet delivery schedules and market demands
- Implement sustainable farming practices to enhance yield while maintaining environmental responsibility
- Support in budgeting, record-keeping, and reporting on farm activities
- Assist with the planning and rotation of crops to optimise farm production.
The Candidate:
- Prior experience in farming, preferably in vegetable crop production
- Strong understanding of agricultural practices, crop cycles, and soil management
- Ability to manage and lead a team effectively
- Proficiency in operating farm machinery and tools
- Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations in agriculture
- Flexibility to work longer hours during peak seasons
- Valid driving license (tractor driving experience is a plus)
