A well established and growing agricultural supplier is looking to appoint an Area Sales Manager to manage and expand sales across a protected territory within Yorkshire and Lincolnshire. The role combines regular customer visits with structured telephone based activity and is focused on driving profitable growth through a mix of account development and new business acquisition. You will take responsibility for sales performance in the region, acting as the primary commercial contact for customers. Initially, the area is overseen by a senior sales leader, with a planned and supportive handover period to ensure a smooth transition and continuity of customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Ownership of sales revenue and margin performance across the allocated territory
- Building and maintaining long term relationships with farms, estates and agricultural businesses
- Increasing share of wallet within existing customers through broader product engagement
- Proactively identifying and securing new customers
- Maintaining accurate pipeline and activity records via CRM
- Collaborating closely with an Internal Account Manager to transition ongoing account support
- Managing time effectively to balance field visits, follow-up, and proactive sales activity
