We are seeking an experienced Spray Operator to join a 250-acre arable farm and agricultural contracting business. This full-time, permanent role involves a wide variety of responsibilities including field preparation, crop management, machinery maintenance, and land care. You will be involved in essential operations such as ploughing, fertiliser spraying, bailing, and more, while also assisting with machinery and land maintenance during the winter months.
Field Operations:
- Ploughing, cultivations, drilling, and fertiliser spreading
- Fertiliser spraying to maintain crop health
- Bale handling, including baling straw and haylage
- Assisting with harvesting own combinable arable crops such as wheat, barley, and beans
Machinery & Land Maintenance (Winter Months):
- Regular maintenance and servicing of farm machinery
- Land maintenance tasks including fencing, repairing, and fabricating equipment as needed
